FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE MEMBER
Participate in Fundraising Committee tasks committee meetings, respond to fundraising inquiries about SKIP, develop and supervise special events and other fundraising methods, and additional duties as appointed by the Committee Chairperson.

QUALIFICATIONS
The right person for this job will live in southeastern Massachusetts, be capable of delegating responsibility, possess excellent record keeping and multi-tasking skills, and must be a quick learner. They will also own and be comfortable using the Internet and Microsoft Excel and Word (or compatible program such as OpenOffice or NeoOffice, which are can be downloaded online and used for free), have reliable transportation, have experience as a SKIP volunteer, be passionate about supporting deployed US troops, able to take direction and constructive criticism, and be willing to assist with other projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Train and supervise volunteers assigned by the Volunteer Coordinator or Executive Director
- Attend and participate at committee meetings
- Assist with planning and completion of events and other fundraising methods
- Respond via e-mail, in-person, phone, and/or postal mail to fundraising inquiries
- Post on the SKIP Online Forum and deliver all records to chairperson
TRAINING
The Executive Director will notify the selected applicant via telephone or e-mail. Supervisor and committee members contact information will be provided to the selected applicant after verification that the position is still desired. Training will be conducted in-person or via e-mail for the selected applicant. The trainer may be a SKIP board member or director.
TIME AND PLACE
The Fundraising Committee will hold regular meetings to review, plan, and assign tasks given by the Executive Director. Estimated time requirement: 1-2 hours per week. Committee-assigned tasks will be based on the organization's needs and will be sent via e-mail to the selected applicant's skipcares.org e-mail account by the Executive Director.
COMMITMENT
The selected applicant would retain this position for 1 year unless otherwise decided by the volunteer, the Executive Director, the committee, or the SKIP board of directors. The Fundraising Committee members and chairperson will be elected and trained each November for the following year by the outbound committee.
ON-THE-JOB SUPERVISION
The supervisor for this position will be the Fundraising Committee Chairperson.
