Keep It Alive For Them
Last month we eagerly launched a campaign aptly called the Dollar Campaign and today I have to report some bad news.
With only $1,000 in our bank account SKIP is going broke very quickly and unless we can raise another $3,500 we can't send another shipment of care packages to the troops who count on the support of Americans like you and me. And today, as we watch the dollar here and the dollar there trickle in we also watch the calendar and the number of weeks that have passed since we last sent care packages.
I'm not going to tell you that I know everything is going to work out or that we're going to pull through this, because I simply don't know. But, I am going to tell you that we can't quit the fight because our troops need to know how much America cares about them.
Care packages make a difference, and unless we send more of them some deployed service members may never know that difference.
Please look in the mirror right now and find that patriotic spirit that keeps your heart beating strong, and think about where you'd be without that spirit. Now, understand that without that same spirit in the men and women serving our military they too will have very little to hope for, dream about, and miss. Keep it alive for them by giving SKIP a fighting chance.
